Wasted Years – Restored!
A few days ago I wrote a message called Wasted Years. The response was overwhelming with thousands of people responding or viewing this. Today I want to share that God can not only give you a fresh start but He can restore what has been lost. I want to share some scriptures and then comment.
“The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of Hosts. And in this place I will give peace, declares the Lord of Hosts.’” Haggai 2:9
“The Lord is my Shepherd. He restoreth my soul.” Psalm 23:1,3.
“Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,” Psalm 51:12
“I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.” Joel:2:25
Jesus answered and said to them, “Indeed, Elijah is coming first and will restore all things.” Matthew 17:11
“So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” Acts 1:6
“Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.” Galatians 6:1
“And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
Jobe 42: 10
“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. 1 Peter 5:10
“Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope;
today I declare that I will restore to you double.” Zechariah 9:12
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
The Bible says a lot about God restoring. In the Garden, Adam and Eve at first lived in glorious harmony with God and nature. Then they sinned and were cast out from the Garden. However we see God speaking in the Book of Revelation about a Garden in Heaven. (Revelation 22).
The Bible shares that in the Garden Adam and Eve sinned and were cast out. In the Gospels we see Jesus giving His life and shedding His Blood for our sins that we could be saved and our relationship with God restored. We see the Temple built and then destroyed in 70AD. We see a new Temple in Heaven see Revelation chapters 21and 22.
When we look at the life of Jesus we see Jesus healing, saving and blessing fallen people. The same was true in the Book of Acts where broken people found new life in Jesus. On and on I could go.
God is interested in your life right now. You may have felt that there is no hope for you. You have experienced a life where you are bound by drugs or drink. You feel you can never be set free. But no! Here comes Jesus and He can set you free and also restore even more than you lost!
Others of you feel hopeless after having lost your wealth and with it you lost hope and live in fear. But no here comes Jesus to heal and restore.
Others of you have suffered great loss with foolish decisions you have made. But you have not fallen below the reach of Jesus. On that cross He died for each of our sins.
For others of you hope is gone and you don’t think God can ever use you or that you can never be happy again. Oh, no! Jesus can forgive and give you what you lost and more!!! You could have lost in love! The beauty has been smashed and dreams are gone. However Jesus can give you love greater than any you lost. Others might find it hard to forgive you but not so with Jesus. Many of the happiest people in the world have at one time thought all was lost. But Jesus has restored. Don’t feel you are too far gone. Please come to Jesus. Because of heart-breaking events you no longer preach, or sing or serve on the mission field. You have given up your calling. Oh, come to Jesus He wants to restore you and move on with His calling.
I have prayed with thousands who felt they had nothing to live for and every dream had vanished. I have seen Jesus restore the lost and wasted years with a fresh calling and mission. Don’t give up. You can have a family, you can be restored. Get your eyes on Jesus and you will see forgiveness and love. Repent with a humble heart and rise up in love, peace and purpose.
Pray! Lord Jesus I have failed and sinned and almost given up. Have mercy on me a sinner. Forgive me of my sins, I turn to You Jesus, restore to me the joy of Your Salvation. I put my trust and faith in Jesus who died on the cross for my sins. Put my name in Your Book in Heaven. Thank you dear God, I forgive everyone. Fill me with Your love. I am not ashamed of Jesus. I am free in Jesus! Glory. Fill me with your peace Lord Jesus. Fill me with the Holy Spirit. I rejoice in the Lord. Glory. In Jesus Name I Pray! Amen”
Now start in some simple ways moving forward as you feel the peace of Jesus. Get in the Word of God, the Bible. Start sharing Jesus with the people you meet and begin moving in the direction of your calling. Jesus will lead you. It is great and wonderful to know you are in the will of God. Rejoice and be glad. From this day forward don’t let the judgment of someone else dictate your emotions and feelings. Focus on Jesus!
I am praying that even one person reading this will make this decision for Jesus.
One bold first step might be to say right here on our comment place.
”Lord Jesus, restore me in my walk with You” In Jesus Name, Amen”
God bless you. I am praying for all who make this commitment to Jesus!
