Antarctica and the Penguins!

‘Antarctica and the Penguins’

“Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God” Jesus (Matt.5:8)

I have traveled the world and perhaps the purest place on this earth is Antarctica. But it is cold! It is clean, white snow, blue seas and the penguins in stately wonder surviving in the most difficult conditions.

This is an awesome truth that even in the harshest conditions – with cold, wind and snow beyond imagination – yet these wonderful creatures, the penguins, survive, breed, build nest, lay eggs, hatch babies, raise them, go to the sea and return. How do they do it? Who takes care of them? God!

God cares for you. Please hear these words spoken by Jesus!

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” (Matt.6:25-34)

God cares for the penguins, He surely cares for you and me! Jesus was teaching us that we are to trust in Him and not be anxious in life. When the blinding snow comes and the harsh wind blows and the sun sets for months and all is darkness, know that the presence of God is still there – and for those that know Jesus He is with you… always!

Whatever your struggle, life will go on. You can choose to live in fear and anxiety, separated from God, or you can come to the cross, and through the shed Blood of Jesus who died for your sins, find life, peace, hope, love and salvation.

I learned that even in Antarctica, the only continent that was void of human habitation, the Presence of God was there. Now, there are a few science bases. The first person I met when I arrived by ship gave his life to Jesus! The Holy Spirit was there! Drawing that man to new life.

No matter how far you feel you may be away from God – you feel like you are living in Antarctica – Jesus is knocking at your heart’s door. Repent and welcome Him in and find rest for your soul. Jesus will now give you a pure heart!

In the movie “The Cross” you can see me and hear me preaching to the penguins and see me praying with that first man I met there. There are many life lessons in this movie that will bless you and others and lead many to know Jesus. Get and then give “The Cross” to others. Thanks for helping carry the cross to every person, family, group, city, and nation on earth.

Pilgrim followers of Jesus

Arthur and Denise Blessitt

Luke 18:1

Weeks ago I started with the letter A and will go to Z focusing on a nation or island group, and what I learned in that place. If you are looking for perfection then just read the Words of Jesus in the New Testament of the Bible. I’m only a pilgrim that has and is still on a journey with Jesus. He is constantly working on me like a potter does the clay. Welcome to the potter’s house!
