“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation;
but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33
In a world of struggle and injustice and death and suffering is it possible to have ‘cheer’?
Jesus offers is to His followers. Sure there are days when cheer seems to be far away. There are days of pain and heartbreak on this earth. If you are not experiencing it now then just wait, the day will come. Loved ones die of old age or accidents or deaths that seem to have no reason or explanation. These are days when cheer may seem far away’¦but just look to Jesus and in your darkest hour you will feel an inward cheer that is beyond words. You just know it. There is a joy beyond anything you can explain or reason.
The hour may be dark but Jesus is Light and Peace and Cheer. Welcome Jesus and He brings cheer wherever you go and no matter what you face.
Cheer is not found in what is happening but in the Presence of Jesus!
God is love and Jesus is with you so rest in Him.
Let the power of God move in your life and you will know this cheer. Even as you walk through the valley of the shadow of death you will know Jesus is with you and you can have a joy unspeakable!
No matter where you are, are what you face rest in Jesus and feel the cheer’¦
