Maldives: “The Beauty of God & Nature”

The Maldives is a nation of islands in the Indian Ocean like a string of pearls in beauty and splendor. Flying in to land is to look at beauty from above. On the island where my wife Denise and I stayed you could walk for many hundreds of yards into the shallow sea. Our little hotel room had water under it and the rising of the sun and the setting of the sun over the waters was a treasure of memories and photos. The palm trees waving were like a greeting from God.

On my crosswalk around the world in every nation and major inhabited island group my eyes have seen the real beauty of nature in its purest form. What can compare to being with the penguins as the peck on the wheel of the cross and look up at you like you are the odd one not them. Or experience the feeling of life deep in the jungles as you try to sleep in the hammock with the wild sounds of all kinks of insects and animals making there noises. You look up through the trees and see the moon and stars and you feel as well as see the beauty.

I could go on and on telling of what I’ve seen in nature but it is but a small reflection of the Beauty of God! Just note these words:

“The perfection of beauty, the Lord Shines forth”
“One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple”.
“Let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us”. Psalm 50:2; 27:4; 90:17

Oh let us worship and adore the Lord our God!
How do we better understand the beauty of God…by getting to know Jesus.

“For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6

“Jesus said ‘He, who has seen me, has seen the Father’! ”(John14:9)

Just look at Jesus! Read Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and the first chapter of Acts and you will begin to see someone unlike any person in history…ever! See His love, power, healing mercy, forgiver of sins. See Jesus holding the children, calming the fearful, extending mercy and grace. View Him feeding the hungry, raising the dead and speaking Words of Life and Salvation.

Now see this same Man carrying His cross to Calvary. See Him nailed to that cross, now raised. Jesus is crucified. His Blood shed for our sins. Horror, Yes! But oh, the beauty of His Love. This living resurrected, ascended Savior is ready to hear your every prayer, forgive, save, lead, bless and has prepared a place for you in heaven. Repent of your sins and trust Jesus now. Then you can know and share this matchless love and beauty with others so that they too may be saved.

I’ve seen the stunning beauty of the sun setting over the sea in the Maldives; have witnessed the awesome sand dunes rising hundreds of feet in the sky in Namibia. Have sat and gazed at the majestic snow covered mountains of the Hindu Kush and rolled in fields of red lilies in a valley at Galilee. I’ve stopped, laid down the cross and spoke words of love to a battered flower by the roadside on my walk around the world.

But no beauty of nature can compare to the love of God! This love is revealed in the Father sending His Son to become Flesh and provide the perfect sacrifice in shedding His Holy Pure Blood for our sins. Jesus arose and ascended unto the right Hand of the Father and ever lives to make intercession for you! Jesus loved the sinner, touched the leper, raised the dead, walked on the water and spoke as no one ever has. So smile! “God loves Me!”

Know the Beauty! Share the Love!
Receive Jesus, Follow Jesus and Witness for Jesus!

One final thing, I’ve often been asked ‘what is the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen?’ My reply is: “A person praying to receive Jesus as their Savior” Heaven rejoices when this happens. Because the love and beauty of God reaches out with a purpose as Jesus said, ‘To seek and to save those who are lost.’

Pilgrim followers of Jesus,

Arthur and Denise Blessitt,

Luke 18:1

Weeks ago I started with the letter A and will go to Z focusing on a nation or island group, and what I learned in that place. If you are looking for perfection then just read the Words of Jesus in the New Testament of the Bible. I’m only a pilgrim that has and is still on a journey with Jesus. He is constantly working on me like a potter does the clay. Welcome to the potter’s house!
