Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off.
And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.
And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God,
and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks.
And he was a Samaritan.
So Jesus answered and said,
“Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
“Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?”
And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you whole.” Luke 17:12-19
The blessings of God are poured out on us. His mercy is great and His love overwhelming. Have you said thanks?
Day after day Jesus takes care of us and meets our needs. Have you returned to say thanks?
In this story ten lepers cried out for mercy from Jesus. On the way to show themselves to the priest as Jesus had commanded they were cleansed. This miracle of cleansing happened to all ten. What a moment of excitement this must have been. Their skin covered with pus and sores was now clean and pure.
In the joy of health they forgot their source!
Only one returned to give God the glory and thanks and worship!
Oh, God has been so good to you and me. Let us arise like this man and cry out with a loud voice and glorify God and give thanks as we worship Him.
Jesus asked where the other nine were. Then Jesus said to the one who had returned. “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you ‘whole’.
All ten were cleansed but only one was made whole! Only one was complete.
Have you been cleansed but not made whole? Return to Jesus and fall at His Feet and thank Him and worship Him and Glorify God.
Jesus wants to make you whole but you must return to the source of your blessing and miracle.
Jesus is waiting and watching. Jesus will make you complete and whole. Just ask Him now for forgiveness and new life. Repent of your sins and fall into the grace and mercy of God. Commit your life and soul to the Lord Jesus Christ and follow Him from this day forward.
God bless you. Thank you Lord!
