John 4:30-38 Then they went out of the city and came to Him. In the meantime His disciples urged Him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.” But He said to them, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.” Therefore the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?”
Jesus said to them,
“My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.
“Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’?
Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields,
for they are already white for harvest!
“And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.
“For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’
“I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored,
and you have entered into their labors.”
Now it’s ‘Harvest Time’.
You have sown as you have witnessed to others of your love for Jesus. You have sown into the lives of family members, workers at the job and with friends and others that you hardly know.
Now it’s ‘Harvest Time’.
You have been hearing the Word of God preached. You have been studying the Word of God. You have been Repenting, Believing, Confessing, Claiming, Building up, Getting stronger, Praying and Growing’¦
Now it’s ‘Harvest Time’.
You have prayed for the lost to be saved. Some of you have done ‘prayer walks’. You have given your money for souls to be saved.
Now it’s ‘Harvest Time’.
Don’t let religious and secular news blind you to what Jesus is doing today all over the world.
The Spirit of God is moving in this earth in a mighty way. More people are being saved today in the world than at anytime in history!
More Moslems, Buddhists and Hindus and Jewish people and Christian people are coming to know Jesus as Savior and Lord than at any time in history. The exception to that may be the Jewish people as so many tens of thousands became followers of Jesus in the first century.
Now it’s ‘Harvest Time’.
Most mission groups are reporting record numbers of conversions worldwide. More Bibles are being printed, more gospel material given out, more mission trips taking place, more missionaries and witness going all over the world sharing Jesus than at anytime in history. The gospel of Jesus is being broadcast on radio and TV all over the world 24 hours a day. The message of Jesus is being shared on the internet 24 hours a day to millions of homes worldwide.
Now it’s ‘Harvest Time’.
People are eager to receive Jesus all over the world. Your friends and family are ready. The people at the shop or gas station are ready. Your work mates are ready. The world is ripe for harvest.
Now it’s ‘Harvest Time’.
From personal experience and from reports I am getting from pastors, evangelists, and ministry leaders from around the world there is an awesome, historic and glorious reaping of souls into the Kingdom.
Now it’s ‘Harvest Time’.
It’s time to move from the mindset of ‘bless me’ to I want to ‘bless you’.
Acts 20:35
And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said,
‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.'”
It is time to move from your comfort zone into the harvest. Do not say the time is not now. Notice that Jesus said to His disciples
“Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’?
Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields,
for they are already white for harvest!
Now it’s ‘Harvest Time’.
Jesus is saying that the time for people to be saved is ‘NOW’! Not four months from now, but Today. In this story in John 4 while the men were in town shopping for food Jesus was saving a lady at the water well. Their minds were on food but Jesus had other food to eat. Glory.
It is time to move from spectator to a harvester for Jesus. Some of you spend hours a day on the internet looking and reading and even judging one preacher after another but how many souls have you let to Jesus this year? Are you judging the time or reaping the harvest?
Now it’s ‘Harvest Time’.
Many have been trying to be blessed in every way you can imagine. You have passing joy when the religious music is playing or the preacher is bringing his message but for those of you who want real joy read the following:
1Thessalonians 2:19-20
For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing?
Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?
For you are our glory and joy.
Real joy comes from Jesus and is for those who are leading the lost to Jesus. Oh, the joy of seeing the people you have led to Jesus when Jesus comes for us!
CROWN (NOUN AND VERB)
1. stephanos ^4735^, primarily, “that which surrounds, as a wall or crowd” (from stepho, “to encircle”), denotes (a) “the victor’s crown,” the symbol of triumph in the games or some such contest; hence, by metonymy, a reward or prize; (b) “a token of public honor” for distinguished service, military prowess, etc., or of nuptial joy, or festal gladness, especially at the parousia of kings. It was woven as a garland of oak, ivy, parsley, myrtle, or olive, or in imitation of these in gold. In some passages the reference to the games is clear, <1 Cor. 9:25; 2 Tim. 4:8> (“crown of righteousness”); it may be so in <1 Pet. 5:4>, where the fadeless character of “the crown of glory” is set in contrast to the garlands of earth. In other passages it stands as an emblem of life, joy, reward and glory,
It is used of “the crown of thorns” which the soldiers plaited and put on Christ’s head,
(from Vine’s Expository Dictionary of Biblical Words)
Do you want to have this ‘Crown of Rejoicing’? Then lead others to know Jesus as Savior and Lord! You will have a real joy filling you and overflowing in your life.
