‘Staying Flexible’
Qatar was the only country in the world that I only carried the cross at night and had to end by 7am. But that was God’s plan for that nation. He was preventing us from some daylight danger. When in Turkey Jesus told me to start with my sons Joel and Joshua in front of the Blue Mosque in the heart of Istanbul. This would seem to be the most dangerous and provocative place but it was a wonderful reception by the people for the cross.
I crossed through quiet southern France in 1972 and then within a mile thousands of people mobbed me with an unreal glorious welcome that was totally unexpected and resulted in the arrest of me and the cross. That’s another story, but I did carry the cross through the nation and on to Portugal!
I was arrested in Poland in the city center carrying the cross then released and five thousand people joined me as I carried the cross to Czestochowa. Then the next year I walked with 70,000 people there.
What I’m saying is just look at the Bible and hear the call of God to Abraham and the promised blessings. Then see Abraham’s journey and all that happened along the way and you see that “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord” Isaiah 55:8
I remember day dreaming of preaching Jesus in all the world even as a child, then as a teenager, later as a student and then evangelist. But never did I ever think that it would mean ‘walking’ the world’s nations or totally beyond my thinking that I would be carrying the cross on that journey.
Jesus led me on a long journey in life during those early years and then on with the cross. I did not see many times how, why or what was really happening but I was just seeking to hear the voice of Jesus and go where the Holy Spirit led. Had I not stayed ‘flexible’ I would never have carried out the mission of my life.
Don’t put the Holy Spirit in your box. Trying to make God do what you want. Get in the will of God and do what Jesus wants! You will be constantly amazed and live a life in the Glory of God as you walk with Jesus. Where you are now may seem dead end but it may be a part of God’s master plan for your life. You never know what Jesus has for you around the bend or over the hill. Trust Jesus. Follow Jesus!
We welcome you to watch the movie “The Cross” and learn more of this walk and how Jesus molds and shapes us and humbles us to walk in His Mighty Ways! Get it. Share it. Be a witness for Jesus. Share Jesus with someone Today!

Pilgrim followers of Jesus,
Arthur and Denise Blessitt,
Luke 18:1
Weeks ago I started with the letter A and will go to Z focusing on a nation or island group, and what I learned in that place. If you are looking for perfection then just read the Words of Jesus in the New Testament of the Bible. I’m only a pilgrim that has and is still on a journey with Jesus. He is constantly working on me like a potter does the clay. Welcome to the potter’s house!
