“There’s room at the cross for you! I will cling to the old rugged cross. Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. How Great Thou Art. Jesus is the sweetest Name I know. All the burdens of my heart rolled away. Oh, Happy day when Jesus washed my sins away! What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the Blood of Jesus! I am bound for the promised land. Some glad morning when this life is over I’ll fly away. Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe. I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back. I’ll go with Him all the way. Hallelujah, Hallelujah. There is a fountain filled with Blood drawn from Emmanuels vein and sinners lose all their guilty stains! At the cross where I first saw the light. In the sweet bye and bye we shall meet on that beautiful shore. When we all get to heaven what a day of rejoicing that will be. Love lifted me. Jesus never fails. I am satisfied with Jesus. Open my eyes Lord I want to see Jesus. Burdens are lifted at Calvary. How great Thou art. How great is our God. It is well in my soul. All creatures of our God and King. All hail the power of Jesus Name. Blessed assurance. To God be the glory. When I survey the wondrous cross. Jesus paid it all. A mighty fortress is our God. How firm a foundation. What a Friend we have in Jesus. I come to the garden alone. This world is not my home. Crown Him with many crowns. There is a balm in Gilead. Will the circle be unbroken. Its so sweet to trust in Jesus. Oh Holy Night. In the sweet by and by. Nothing but the Blood of Jesus. His Eye is on the sparrow. Heavenly sunlight. Mary, did you know. Stand up for Jesus. Mansion over the hilltop. Have Thine on way Lord. I’m His to command. Oh come all ye faithful. Because He lives. Are you washed in the Blood.

Oh how I love Jesus. Jerusalem. Holy, Holy, Holy. Rock of ages. This little light of mines I’m gonna let it shine. Just a closer walk with Thee. Nearer My God to Thee. Abide with me. Jesus lover of my soul. Breathe on me. Take my life and let it be. Shall we gather at the river. Fairest Lord Jesus. Give me joy in my heart. Just as I am. Turn your eyes on Jesus. Bless the Lord of my soul. Now is the time to worship. Give me Jesus. God of Wonders. Great is Thy faithfulness. He knows my name. The great judgment morning. How He loves me. I surrender all. Jesus lover of my soul. Lord I lift Your Name on high. Majesty. Open the eyes of my heart. Redeemed. Soon and very soon I am going to see the King. There’s something about that Name. To God be the glory. When I survey the wondrous cross. Thank you Jesus. There is a Name I love to hear. He hideth my soul. I stand amazed in the Presence. You are Holy. No one understands like Jesus. Victory in Jesus. Just when I need Him, Jesus is near. Oh little town of Bethlehem. Years I spent in vanity and pride. I have found a Friend in Jesus. Sing hallelujah to the Lord. Oh for a thousand tongues to sing. Standing on the promises. Holy Spirit breathe on me. Spirit of the living God, fall fresh on me. Take my life and let it be. Near the cross. All on the alter, dear Jesus. How firm a foundation. Sweet hour of prayer. Must Jesus bear the cross alone. There is a land that is fairer than day. Trials dark on every hand. Only believe. I will sing the wondrous story. Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it. I’d rather have Jesus than silver or gold. Bring them in from the fields of sin. I love to tell the story. Here am I, send me. Teach me to pray, Lord. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse. Amen, Amen, Amen. Learning to lean. Look and live. More about Jesus. All because of Calvary. Am I a soldier of the cross. Beulah land. Calvary covers all. Christ for me. All my sins are gone. Near the cross. Never alone. No one ever cared for me like Jesus. Nothing between. O come all ye faithful. Count your blessings. Oh how He loves you and me. Doxology. Face to Face. Fill my cup. Give me Jesus. Go tell it on the mountain. God be with you till we meet again. On Jordans stormy banks I stand. Only believe. Pass me not oh gentle Savior. Praise Him. Pentecostal power. Revive us again. Saved, Saved. He lives. Heaven came down. Showers of blessings. Tell me the old old story. Thank you Lord. I must tell Jesus. The way of the cross leads home. Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Until then. We’ll work till Jesus comes. Joy to the world the Lord has come. Leaning on the everlasting arms. Where the roses never fade. Church in the wildwood. Wherever He leads I’ll go.Yield not to temptation. Wonderful, wonderful Jesus.

I love the music of my long time friends who are now singing in heaven.
Andrae’ Crouch “The Blood will never lose its power. To God be the glory. Soon and very soon” and many more. He sang and I preached a number of times on Sunset Strip, Hollywood in 1968 at Gazzarri’s nightclub. We were together other times also. Larry Norman, “I wish we’d all been ready. Street level. The Rock that doesn’t roll. Jesus freak” and many more. We were friends from the late 1960’s and did a number of Jesus rallies together. Dottie Rambo was a long time friend and we did a lot of TBN TV together. Songs like “He looked beyond my fault and saw my need. We shall Behold Him. I was the reason. If that isn’t love. I will glory in the cross. I call Him Lord. Build my mansion next door to Jesus.” Jim McPheeters and O.J.Peterson were the two singers of one of the first Jesus rock bands who were my singers and on my staff in the late 60’s and early 70’s. We named them ‘The Eternal Rush’. They sang and I preached at the West Palm Beach International Rock Festival and then went with me as we carried the cross across America and then Jim went with us to the UK and sang in the early 1970’s. Then there are my dear friends ‘The Sunshine Sisters’ Judy, Linda and Sharon Peck. They are still with us on earth, Glory. We did many meetings together from ‘His Place’ and ‘Gazzarri’s on the Strip in the late 60’s to Washington D.C and more places through the years. Oh, can they sing and lift up Jesus. Songs like “Without Him I could do nothing.” If you want to shout and cry and praise the Lord then you need to hear them. I have been with dozens of the greatest singers of our time through the years. Mostly at big rallies and on the wonderful TBN TV network ‘Praise the Lord’ programs.
Oh, I must list Jimmy Swaggart. He has so many touching songs like “Leaving on my mind. Mercy rewrote my life. It’s beginning to rain. Jesus is the sweets Name I know. He washed my eyes with tears.”
Oh, yes I want to list just one more. I do like to hear Elvis Presley sing gospel songs “You’ll never walk alone. How great Thou art. Take my hand, Precious Lord.

Of course I have written many songs. I call them my road songs. But I will not list myself! Ha. I make up songs and sing them to Jesus as I carry the cross along the roads and trails. I sing to Jesus and the animals and the people who gather on the roads to welcome the cross. God likes my songs! Glory.

The Blood of Jesus shed on the cross is enough to wash away the sins of the most wicked person that ever lived. The Blood shall never lose its Power!

I wanted to share a few of my favorite hymns and gospel songs to help stir your precious memories. So many of the these great gospel songs are no longer used today in churches and concerts. We are loosing the treasures of the past. Many young people have never heard these.

I would suggest if you want to hear these songs I listed above then Google the title and you can hear the song.

I suggest you have a church or home gathering were you have people call out their favorite song and then you all began to sing. I love these singalongs. Many people would love this.

And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:9-10, 14:3

“There were leaders of the singers, songs of praise and hymns of thanksgiving to God.” Nehemiah 12:46

“Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,” Ephesians 5:19-20

At the end of the Lord’s Supper or Communion with Jesus. “And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.”
