This is a nation of beautiful temples and some of the world's worst traffic jams. Buddhist shrines of worship are everywhere, in the homes, hotels, businesses, and even under every big tree.

At the airport we rented a car. Denise would drive in front of me a few miles and find a place to park. She would then wait for me to arrive carrying the cross.

Praise the Lord! This is Arthur Blessitt. I just had to get one more report. I took the cross out this morning in Arusha, Tanzania. And it was glorious!

Praise God the cross was lifted up above Africa! The last week of October 2003 the cross was carried to an altitude of about 17,000 feet on Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania!

I carried the cross in Tanzania in 1974. It was an awesome crosswalk. I crossed the border from Kenya and carried the cross to Arusha and then Moshi, then on to Dar es Salaam.

The cross walk in Taiwan was mainly in the area around the airport which is about 30 miles from Taipei. My wife, Denise and I carried the cross from the airport through Tayuan and other towns in that area.

This area is very industrialized with dirty factories and stacks belching dark smoke. The streams are completely polluted and big trucks charge along the road in wild driving.

Denise, my wife and I carried the cross in Damascus, Syria in 1997. It was a great joy and the people welcomed us in a wonderful way. Damascus is one of the oldest continually inhabited places on earth.

I have carried the cross in Switzerland several different times. However the time that I carried the cross across Switzerland was in 1984.

I have carried the cross several times in Sweden. This is a wonderful country for welcoming the cross. Though the years I have preached in many churches in Sweden. The response has been glorious.
