I carried the cross in Wales in 1987. It was a glorious walk with the cross. My son Joshua was with me. He drove our Land Rover pulling a camper trailer. He would drive up the road a few miles and find a place to park and wait for my arrival.

We began the walk with the cross to Wales from London. We went through Bristol, England and made our way west and into Wales.

When I carried the cross over the bridge the news media met us and word quickly spread that we were carrying the cross in Wales.

People began to stop their cars and talk to me. The response was great all across the country. Many people prayed and gave their lives to Jesus as Savior and Lord. We spoke in many churches along the way.

I carried the cross through Cardiff to Swansea to Carmarthen and on to the west coast. We then went north to Aberystwyth and on to Bangor.

The church meetings were powerful and often there much weeping and praying to get right with God. We had fellowship with many pastors along the way.

Joshua and I had a great time talking and just being together. We have spent so much time on the roads of the world walking with the cross.

We had a glorious time in this land.

In London my dear pastor friend Dr. R. T. Kendall the minister at Westminster Chapel saw us off and walked with me and the cross in London. Also my long time friend Rev. Phil Cheale walked with me and helped us.
