Scilly Isles

2005

With my wife, Denise, and our twenty-month old daughter Sophia we took a ferryboat to the Scilly Isles from Penzance in the Southeast of England near Land’s End. That trip was unreal with the boat rocking in the high seas. Almost everyone on the ship was sick. Sophia, Denise and I were all vomiting. Was so sick I could not even sit up. Sophia even vomited inside my coat.

Reeking with the smell of vomit we carried the cross from the ship into town and around the island! Ha.

We carried the cross around St Mary’s Island and through the towns of Hugh Town and Old Town. The roads were winding and narrow and the countryside really beautiful.

There was a cold wind but the people were warm and welcoming and many prayed with me around the island.

We also went to Land’s End, once considered to be the last land before the end of the world.

God bless these beautiful people!
