Trusting God

Trusting God
March 5 , 2005

I have faith in God.
I know He exists, I feel His presence and see Him work in my life and those around me.

But do I trust God to run my life?

That is a question that we must ask ourselves if we are going to get all that God has in store for our lives.

We all deal with issues of trust in our lives. Some people in our lives will hurt us then we can't trust them any more. The problem is that if we can't trust people it makes it hard for us to truly trust God.

We are taught as children to be self-sufficient, you can be anything you want to be, you must be strong, go out there and succeed. If you don't you are a failure. The world we live in has this mindset.

We must have the mindset that what is truly important is what God wants for our lives.
I believe there is a difference between faith in God and trusting God. To get the full power and joy of the Lord we must trust him to lead every part of our lives. I have been learning how to really trust that His way is the best way; it's not an easy thing for me to learn. I must give up control and die every day to my will so that His will can be my focus.

Trusting God is the way that I found the joy of the Lord for my life. When I understood and dealt with my trust issues here on earth I was ready to really start trusting Him. Then joy and peace that only God can give began to fill my heart beyond words.

My life changed!
Let go of earthly thoughts and trust God's way to lead your life. It will change your life!

“But when I am afraid, I put my trust in you. O God,
I praise Your Word. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid?
What can mere mortals do to me?'
Psalms 56:3-4

Stay strong in God,
