The Cross

The Beginning

Matt Crouch created a documentary about my journeys called "Arthur: A Pilgrim" nearly 20 years ago. After that I hadn't seen Matt until we ran into each other last summer just before my final trip to the last unvisited people group on the Island of Zanzibar off the coast ofTanzania in Africa.

When I returned from the trip that completed my 40-year journey around the world, it was only natural for me to turn to Matt who said he would not only finish telling my story that he had begun to document 20 years ago, but he had the brilliant idea of creating an entirely new film that would fulfill what I had felt the Lord say to me. I had just completed the walk in Zanzibar where Jesus told me "The world is open to you, you are free to carry the cross and minister Jesus in all the world, wherever I lead you."

The Movie

THE CROSS is the story of one man carrying a twelve-foot wooden cross on a pilgrimage around the world. It is a mission of love, peace, blessings and Jesus. It is one man walking out his purpose and destiny, one step at a time.

This compelling story is an inspiration and an adventure of life on the roads of the world and the reactions of people to the cross and, more importantly, its life-changing message.
