In this exciting book, Arthur Blessitt tells in great detail, the time in his life the glory of God was physically evident. This event has led him to the study of the glory of God. From this study he wrote this thought provoking book, a book that illumines the glory of God in a new way that will be a blessing to all who read it.

To those who have never seen the glory it will be an encouragement, to those who have seen the glory, the book will bring understanding. To those who have never thought of it, this book will whet their appetite to know more of God.

CHAPTER 1

"The glory of the coming of the Lord is at hand." These words spoken to me by the Lord along the banks of the Amazon River in Peru must be proclaimed. My soul overflows, my body is afire to speak, my mind is full of His glory. The message is so wonderful, the truth so thrilling, the reality so soon to be, that I excitedly share this with you.

For five hours God gave me a vision of the glory of the coming of the Lord. From 3 a.m. until 8 a.m., God opened the windows of Heaven like to John on the Isle of Patmos and to Daniel in his visions. I had carried a twelve-foot, ninety-pound cross on foot around the world, across six continents, and had now arrived in Peru to take the cross by boat along the thousands of miles of the huge Amazon River, stopping to preach in the villages along the river. I was in Iquitos, Peru, ready to begin the trip. My daughter, Gina, was with me, along with Mike Ooten. One night before we left on the boat we were reading from the Bible; I Samuel 2:35 struck my heart: And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.

The truth of this passage leaped at me! The Lord has so much to share, to say, to let us in on; oh, but we are so incapable of truly receiving what He is saying. God is saying, "I've got so much for you." We say, "Oh yes, Lord, give me a new T.V., bless me, give me that gift..." We are like children, playing and wanting toys when God has --so much morel

I prayed, "Oh, Lord, from this moment forward, I want nothing more than for You to be able to share with me what is in Your heart and mind --- and by Thy grace, strength and Spirit --- to do it. I want to know what Is on Your heart, oh Lord, how do You feel; Thy word in the Bible declares it. Thy Spirit wants to reveal it."

After our prayers, I went to sleep at 1:00 a.m. At 3:00 a.m. I woke up with my eyes seeing this awesome vision. I could see in the room where I was, but also there was another dimension. It was like I was viewing through a huge picture window, for in the distance I could see a tiny speck, glowing in its brightness coming closer ... closer ... toward the earth and me. I could see the swirling colors of red, gold, orange, yellow, and fire --- all the colors of brightness --- coming toward me.

My heart was pounding and I tried to cry out, but on came the indescribable brightness. It was like ocean waves, not rolling from on top downward, but from the bottom up, then around and mixing. Behind was glistening brightness --- not colored but like silver, pure whiteness --- ultra-white -- glowing just behind the fiery stream of glory.

Inside I was exploding as I realized, "The Lord is coming!" I tried to speak but could not; I tried to move but was motionless. I could see my watch ---it was 3 a.m.

The glory of the Lord continued to sweep toward the earth, then upon the earth, perfecting everything in its presence --- coming on toward me, then through the huge window and into the room! The sweeping bright fiery cloud of glory was almost upon me, just missing touching my body. Inside I was aglow. Had the glory touched me, I would have been gone; yet I experienced it inside.

Then I saw the letters before my eyes that stayed for five hours: "Arthur, proclaim the glory of the coming of the Lord is at hand!" I tried to cry out or move, yet I could not, almost bursting. I lay there for an hour as the glory continued to fill the room and sweep by me, pouring forth from the Heaven as a constant stream.

Oh, it was glorious -- nothing to compare it to, or no words to describe. I tell you, you don't want to miss the glory of the coming of the Lord -- better to have never been born than to miss the glory of the coming of the Lord!

Finally, my muttered groanings trying to say, "Gina, Mike... the Lord..." woke up Gina and Mike. They thought I had a stroke, but finally I could speak just briefly. "See ... there ... the glory of the coming of the Lord Is at hand. Can't you see it?" But they could not.

Then I crawled out of bed and over to Mike, lay my hand upon his eyes and said, "Lord, open his eyes and let him see." Then I said, "Mike, what do you see?" "Nothing," he replied, as he looked where I was pointing. I then sat down upon the floor and said, "Lord, I don't understand this. I love you; I don't need a vision."

Then the Lord spoke for the first time, "Fear not, receive what I'm giving you." At that point I said, "O.K., Lord" and all my strength left me. I lay on the floor as dead. I could hear the voice of Gina saying, "Mike, Is Daddy dead?" Mike replied, "He's having a vision, Gina. Leave him alone and let's just watch and pray for him." At that point I cannot describe what I saw. There are no words to express, or things to compare it to. God revealed His glory for hour after hour. I did not know if I could live through it. The Lord just opened up the windows of Heaven to me as I saw His glory. Oh, Holy, Holy, Holy is our Lord! Wonderful are His ways and glorious is His splendor! Hallelujah !!

For awhile I would experience the lostness of the lost. Water would pour from my eyes as God would let me experience how it feels to miss... oh, to miss the 'glory of the coming of the Lord.' The horror, the emptiness, the void, the pain of agony. I tell you, friend, you don't want to miss this --- miss anything else in this world, but not the Lord!

Just as suddenly, God would let me be caught up in this glory! How can you describe being consumed in the fullness of God, caught up into glory? I just tell you, It's more wonderful than your most wonderful experience multiplied a billion times! For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18). But, as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit (I Corinthians 2:9-10).

I lay in His glorious presence for hours. My hands were lifted up for over an hour, Gina said later.
Then the Lord spoke to me! "Arthur, proclaim the glory of the coming of the Lord is at hand." I said, "Lord, I don't want to get off on the second coming. I've been called by You to be an evangelist. I believe You're coming again, but I'm no theologian. I get confused with all the prophecies about Israel, Egypt, Syria, Russia, etc. I don't want anything that will get me away from seeing people saved." How foolish, but that's the truth as I responded to God. But the Lord replied, "Arthur, leave the theology to the theologian. You proclaim 'The glory of the coming of the Lord is at hand."'

"When, Lord, are You coming?" I asked. "Arthur proclaim, 'The glory of the coming of the Lord is at hand,"' was the reply. "But Lord, I'm not able; I'm Your road man, Your dirt man, carrying this huge cross on foot around the world for all these years. Surely You've got someone better than me --- the TV evangelist, crusade preacher, etc. --- not me. All I know is You and the common peoples of the world."

"Arthur, what do you think I've been doing to you all these years with the cross around the world
-- grinding you up, making you like powder, finding the lumps, then breaking and making you moldable, free and obedient. Now is the time. You've known this day would come since you were seven, It was to this end that you were born. I'm not taking you out of the harvest, I'm putting you in it. You'll see more people saved than you ever dreamed of. You proclaim My message; I'll breathe upon you. I'll touch the people's hearts that they'll believe. You proclaim My message; Arthur proclaim, 'The glory of the coming of the Lord is at hand."'

Then the vision left. I lay on the floor completely weak in body and realized the sun was shining in the room. Gina and Mike were looking at me. I still could not speak, but motioned for Gina to get me some water. After I drank it I could speak. I talked for a few minutes, went to bed, and slept all day in a deep sleep!

CHAPTER 2

Hear this: But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord (Numbers 14:21). Praise the Lord! Here is a promise made by God, made on the very authority of His own existence, As truly as I live. He has made a promise that is yet to take place, but shall. All the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord. Oh, that day! No wonder at the end of the Bible are these words, Even so come, Lord Jesus. (Revelation 22:20)

Another promise: For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. (Habakkuk 2:14).

The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see ft together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. (Isaiah 40:3-5).... Lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God! Behold, the Lord God will come. (Isaiah 40:9, 10).

Two points: God is glorious! and He wants us to be glorious! --- a reflection of Himself.

God is glorious! What is this glory? How do we conceive of this glory? The glory of God has surely been revealed In the Bible with brightness, light, fire, and shining.

The glory of God in essence is "all that God is!" Everything about God is glorious!
His love is glorious!
---it's glorious to be loved by God.
His forgiveness is glorious --- to be washed clean from our sins by the blood of Jesus.
His grace is glorious - - While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
His righteousness is glorious.
His truth is glorious.
His purity is glorious.
His kindness is glorious.
His universe is glorious.
His Heaven is glorious.
His way is glorious.
His creation is glorious.
His Word is glorious.

Glory, glory, glory - - - every quality that is desirable is God. His glory is all that God --- His fullness. From Genesis to Revelation the unfolding of God's glory is revealed. God is seeking to reveal Himself, to make Himself known to all mankind.

The glory begins at the first verse in the Bible: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (Genesis 1:1) How profound, powerful, creative, and ... glorious! In the beginning ... God ... created ... the Heaven and the earth! How wonderful!

Another glimpse of God is when he revealed Himself to Abraham in a vision: And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram... and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces. (Genesis 15:12, 17)

The Bible is so full of revelation of the glory of the Lord, but let us just take a few of these and let God's revealed word in the Scripture speak for itself:

And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount. And the glory of the Lord abode upon Mount Sinai... and the sight of the glory of the Lord was like a devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel. And Moses went into the midst of the cloud... (Exodus 24:15-18).

Later these words were recorded: And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle and the Lord talked with Moses. And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face as a man speaketh unto his friend. (Exodus 33:9, 11). In this glorious encounter with God, Moses makes a request. He said, Show me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I might find grace in thy sight. (Exodus 33:13).

You see, in the revelation of the glory of God, it is not to be a spectacle to be viewed in wonder; it is for our need and fullness. Hear God say, My presence shall go with thee. (Exodus 33:14). God wants us to know Him. He is not hiding from us, but is in every way seeking to reveal Himself to us! Hallelujah!

Then Moses said, show me thy Glory! (Exodus 33:18). A man In the flesh standing in the very presence of God, said, "Lord, show me thy glory; I want to know all about You ..." Then God said, Thou cannot see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a cleft of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen. (Exodus 33:20-23). God said, "Moses, I'll have My glory pass by you." Oh, that God might reveal His glory right now to you. I don't mean as a demonstration, or a gimmick but God will reveal His glory to those who seek to know Him.

God's glory descended upon the tabernacle, and there the cloud of the Lord was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys. . . and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. (Exodus 40:38, 35).
God revealed His glory to Isaiah in the temple: I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of Hosts: the whole earth is full of His glory. (Isaiah 6:1, 3). In the midst of the glory of God, Isaiah cried out; Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips. But God took his iniquity away and purged him from his sins. (Isaiah 6:5, 7).

The glory of God is revealed not to be a spectacle for our eyes, but for inspiration for our souls!

The Heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handiwork. (Psalm 19:1).

Who is this King of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. (Psalm 24: 11-9).

Be thou exalted, O God, above the Heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth. (Psalm 46:10).

Daniel (Chapter 7) describes what he saw like this:
I kept looking until thrones were set up,
And the Ancient of Days took His seat;
His vesture was like white snow,
And the hair of His head like pure wool.
His throne was ablaze with flames,
Its wheels were as burning fire.
A river of fire was flowing and coming out from before Him;
Thousands upon thousands were attending Him...
(verses 9-10)

And behold, with the clouds of heaven
One like a Son of Man was coming,
And He came up to the Ancient of Days
And was presented before Him.
And to Him was given dominion, glory and a kingdom,
That all the peoples, nations, and men of every language
Might serve Him.
His dominion is an everlasting dominion
Which will not pass away;
And His kingdom is one which will not be destroyed.
(Verses 13-14).

The Lord is great, and greatly to be praised. (Psalms 104:31).

To make know to the sons of men His mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of His Kingdom. (Psalms 145:12).

The Lord shall cause His glorious voice to be heard. (Isaiah 30:30).

Everyone that is called by my name; for I have created him for my glory. I have formed him; yea I have made him. This people have I formed for myself; they shall show forth my praise. (Isaiah 43:7, 21).

As the Heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9).

Arise, shine, for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee . . . and His glory shall be seen upon thee . . . and the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. (Isaiah 60:1, 2, 19).

His glory covered the Heavens and the earth was full of His praise. (Habakkuk 3:3).

Above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone; and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above it. And I saw as the color of amber, as the appearance of fire around about within it; from the appearance of His loins even upward and from the appearance of His loins downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about; as the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. (Ezekiel 1:26-28).

Now, In the New Testament... from the angels as they welcomed the birth of Jesus: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. (Luke 2:14).

And from the lips of Jesus, as He taught us how to pray: Our Father, which art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name... Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. (Matthew 6:9, 13).

My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19).

Every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God thy Father. (Philippians 2:11).

To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and honor and power; for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. (Jude 25; Revelation 4:11).

Oh is that enough! Not yet; there is more; from the beginning of the Bible to the end there is this thrilling revelation of that which is to come: And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. The city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it; for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. (Revelation 21:10, 11, 23).

God is glorious --- of this there is no doubt or question! Glory, glory, glory!

God is glorious. But how does the glory of God relate to us, to the world? Hang on; listen to this:

Now the Lord is that Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. (II Corinthians 3:17-18).

Now get this picture: We stand like before a mirror looking into the glass and as we look, we see the glory of the Lord reflected in the mirror. There before us is revealed the glory of God. We are thrilled and almost overcome with awe in the presence of such glory. Then, as we are looking at the glory, "we are changed into the same image." I almost burst with joy at this thrilling --- how awesome! ... to see in the mirror the glory of God and then "to be changed into the same image!" How can we stand it! Praise the Lord!

How awesome, how wonderful to look into a mirror and see the glory of God. God is glorious, but what is so staggering is that He wants His glory in us! As we look we are changed into the "same image"; we start looking like Him!! We become mirrors of Him: reflecting in our lives, work, deeds, and spirit the likeness of Jesus!

If your business fails - the glory is there.
Even if friends forsake you - the glory is there.
When you are all alone,
and feel you are in a vacuum
you are not alone -
you are not in a vacuum -
The glory is there.
When the crisis of life
Almost overwhelms you -
When the unexpected disappointments
seem beyond explanation --- The glory is there.
Beyond reason, circumstances,
Fear or pain --- the glory is there.
in abundance --- the glory is there.
Oh Praise Him.

We are changed into the same image, from "glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord" --- that is what it means to be filled with the Spirit! Changed by the Spirit to look like God --- to live like Jesus! So when people meet you, they meet Christ living in you!

Note Matthew 5:14-16. You are the light of the world, a city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick, and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven. You then become a reflection of the glory of God. You are the Light of the World. The glory of God revealed in you means that you become a light that people may see your good works, and glorify the Father.

Those filled with God's glory don't just sit down and praise the Lord --- they do the works of God. They preach the good news of Jesus! They witness to the world of salvation. They do good! Feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, a bed to the stranger, clothes to the naked, care for the sick, visit the imprisoned, for Jesus said, As ye have done it unto the least of these, ye have done it unto me. (Matthew 25:40). You see, those filled with the glory of God are not sitting down singing, "Glory, glory, glory," singing, "I'll fly away." No . . . those filled with the glory of God are saying, "I'll work till Jesus comes." They are involved in doing good things, living a glorious life. As you live in the way of Jesus, the world sees your good works and glorifies God, the Father in Heaven!

Have you ever been around a beautiful child or teenager, full of love, dedication, kindness, and strength? They are a reflection of their parents --- you say they must have a beautiful father or mother. When we live in the way of Christ, we reflect His glory! We have a wonderful Father!!

We are changed from glory to glory by the Spirit. This means that you can't become glorious by your power, but by the Spirit. Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord. (Zechariah 4:6). For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works... (Ephesians 2:10). Only the Spirit can make us in the image of God! Some people say to me, "Arthur, I try to live right, try to do good things, but the more I try, the more I fail; I want to be victorious." I say, "That is the very problem! You keep saying, 'I try.'"

It's when you give up and say, "I can't live right, I can't have the right desires, every thought that is of me is vain; but Jesus Christ has saved me; His Spirit is in me. So, Holy Spirit of God, you give me new desires --- the desires of Jesus. You transform me so that I want to live the way you want me to live!"

Note what is meant In Philippians 2:13: For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do his good pleasure. It is God giving you the strength, the power and grace. You are free --- there is liberty; your nature is that of holiness, not of corruption. To serve the Lord and obey Him is your true, deep and real desire, for where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. (II Corinthians 3:17).

Now look at this truth: "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." As I look at this verse, my heart is staggered by the awesomeness of it. How can we see the glory of God? In the face of Jesus Christ!

In a world of darkness and doom --- of no hope --- the light broke through the darkness! --- to give light, life, and glory to us. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16). Oh, praise the Lord! "The light shineth out of darkness into our hearts!" Hallelujah!

The light of God in Jesus can shine in you! All the darkness of the world cannot put out the light from one small light. Psalm 4:6 says, Lord, lift up the fight of thy countenance upon us. The countenance of a person is what we see, what we feel, the total being. Now get this: God wants us to have His glorious countenance upon us and in us!!! The light is us --- the light upon us --- shining to the world like a city on a hill. Those who know Jesus let their light shine! Maybe that's why I love that song, "this little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine!"

CHAPTER 3

Now all the fullness of God, all the glory of God is in the face of Jesus Christ. Let's look at that face.

We see that face of glory even as a child in the Bethlehem manger; then at the age of twelve, He speaks: Know ye not that I must be about my Father's business? (Luke 2:49). Then as He was baptized in the River Jordan by John the Baptist, His face reflected the desire to become all that He is to be. Hear His words: Let it be now, for it is necessary to fulfill all righteousness. (Matthew 3:15). See His face as He comes up straightway out of the water, and lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him, and lo, a voice from heaven saying, This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. (Matthew 3:16-17). His face is that of strength as He fasted for forty days and then is tempted by Satan in the barren wilderness, unwavering as He declares, Man cannot live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4).

The first open manifestation of this face in ministry is when He changes the water into wine at the wedding. This is a face full of joy and life, as the Bible declares: This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and his disciples believed on him. (John 2:11).

See His face as He looked at the leper distorted in pain, stretching forth His hand and touching him, speaking words ever so mighty: Be thou clean. (Mark 1:41).

The face of Jesus is looking up with passion at the sinner clinging to the sycamore tree: Come down; for today I must abide at thy house. (Luke 19:5). View, if you will, the face of love and understanding - - - reaching out to a troubled woman, making contact with the wayward by saying, Give me to drink. (John 4:7).

Oh, continue with me as the feet of Jesus are washed with the tears and dried by the hair of a sinner woman: Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she has loved much. Thy faith hath saved thee. (Luke 7:47, 50).

Note the same face is full of hurt and judgment as He entered the temple and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold the doves. My house shall be called a house of prayer; but ye made it a den of thieves. (Matthew 21:12, 13).

He saw the sick and healed them, the hungry and fed them, the sinful in repentance and forgave them.

See His face bathed in glory on the Mount of Transfiguration: And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistening, and they saw his glory. (Luke 9: 29, 32).

Oh, the face of our Lord covered in tears: And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it. (Luke 19:41).

Behold, in history's darkest hour, Jesus, knowing the cross was before Him, turned not away; but when the time was come that he should be received up, he steadfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem. (Luke 9:51).

Now we see His face in the dirt of Gethsemane: And he began to be sorrowful and very heavy. And said, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death; and he went a little further, and fell on his face and prayed, Oh my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. (Matthew 26:37, 38, 39, 42). And being in agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. (Luke 22:44).

I too weep and can hardly stand to see Thy face, bathed in the blood of sweat upon the rocky ground of Gethsemane. But I see more: Thy face bent over the feet of the disciples and Peter, as You poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel. (John 13:5).

Oh, but there is more; I wish not, but there is: Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands. and when they had blindfolded Him they struck Him on the face and asked Him, saying, Prophecy, who is it that smote Thee? (Matthew 26:67; Luke 22:64).

Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him. Then they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. And they plaited a crown of thorns, they put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand, and they bowed their knees before him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews! And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head. Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man! And they put his own raiment on him and led him away and he, bearing his cross, went forth into a place called Golgotha, where they crucified him. (Matthew 27:28-31; John 19:1, 5, 17, 18).

Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. (Luke 23:34). And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit; and he bowed his head and gave up the spirit. (Luke 23:46; John 19:30).

I weep --- what more can be said about the face of Jesus? The softness of the face in the Bethlehem manger has become weather-beaten, tanned, tear-covered, beaten, spit upon, and adorned with a crown of thorns --- as the blood clots on the face of the Son of God ... we see His glory; and those holy eyes that saw, and wept, and helped those holy ears that heard; those lips that spoke... "Never a man spake like this." That face... that face... the glory of God!

But . . . look again: That face . . Jesus, alive and living! Victorious over death, hell and the grave; standing outside the open tomb, smiling, loving, caring... that face --- the face of Jesus. Mary said, I've seen the Lord. (John 20:18). The disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. (John 20:19). And Jesus said, Blessed are they that have not seen, yet have believed. (John 20:29). Then while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. Yet this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into Heaven. (Acts l:9,11).

So get ready! We know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is... face to face. (I John 3:2; I Corinthians 13:12).

Glory, glory, glory in the face of Jesus Christ our Lord!

CHAPTER 4

How else can we describe the glory of God? Perhaps a Bible explanation is best. The Bible in several places refers to the riches of his glory (Romans 9:23) or riches in glory. (Philemon 4:19). These terms are so radiant, so open and full. Riches ... we think of value, quality, quantity... lacking nothing. Oh yes, our Lord is the true value. What He has is pure riches --- lacking nothing --- and it's all for us! Whatever our need, His riches cover it.

His riches! His glory!
Rich in love: "Oh how He loves you and me"
Rich in beauty: "The lily of the valley"
Rich in truth: "The way, the truth, the life"
Rich in grace: "For by grace are you saved"
Rich in understanding: "He became flesh"
Rich in joy: "That my joy may be full In you"
Rich in everything: "And everything that He made was good"
Rich forever: "The same yesterday, today and forever."

All His riches in glory is for you. Listen to these words: God . . . endured with much Iongsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted in destruction: that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory. Even us, whom he hath called. (Romans 9:22-24).

Oh, how glorious is this truth of God! We, who are so corrupted that we are fit for destruction have been, through the long-suffering of God, chosen to receive the revelation of His glory . . . the riches of His glory!

In the face of the riches of glory, all riches of the earth quickly fade into nothing. How can I trade my inheritance of glory for a mess of fleshly desire? How can you exchange God's riches; grace; love; peace; creator of the universe; maker of all angels, peoples and beauty; the King of Kings, Lord of Lords; the forgiver; the giver of Christ Jesus, Heaven and all eternity .. . for Hell, rebellion, guilt, greed, hate, murder, sin, demons, wickedness of all sort, loneliness, etc.?

There is no choice when we see the truth. Only through eyes blinded by Satan can one turn from the riches of the glory of God to the empty claims of Satan. In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (II Corinthians 4:4).

Yet our bodies, the vessels worthy of destruction - - He wants you . . . to know, understand, comprehend, and experience His riches of glory. Hallelujah! And get this: He has already prepared you and made you capable of receiving His glory.

We were made in God's image (Genesis 1:27), prepared from the beginning, for the glory we are to share with Him. But to make it even more personal, the writer of the book of Romans says even us. Praise God! Yes --- me, yes --- you; He wants us to by His mercy receive His riches, His glory, His love, salvation, and to become a part of God's own personal household. (Ephesians 2:19).

This revelation of the riches of glory is not for us to sit back and view, but that we he strengthened and filled! That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man. That ye might be filled with all the fullness of God! (Ephesians 3:16, 19).

We need this strengthening; but it is not by our might but by the "Spirit in the inner man, " for our bodies have become corrupted by sin: yet... yet ... by the mercy of God, through the cross and by the Spirit, God makes us to reflect Himself! Note: But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. (II Corinthians 4:7).

Yes, all glory is of God, by God and unto God. We become a mirror of that glory, feasting on the riches of His glory.

Again, the term "riches in glory" is used in a powerful way for us: But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Phllippians 4:19). I rest upon that promise - - - the riches of God is sufficient to meet my every need.

Rich to save, to deliver, heal, bless, love, forgive, and receive me unto Himself. Never to forsake me, always to guide, ever living to make intercession for me. God made me, He knows what's gone wrong, He knows how to make things right, He has the power to do so. I can always come to the bank of Heaven and know there is enough there in the riches of glory to meet my need in Christ Jesus! Let us sing Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness. (Psalm 48:1).

CHAPTER 5

What God has for us just gets better and better as we move from glory to glory! God says, Rejoice, in as much as you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when His glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy. If you be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are you; for the Spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: (I Peter 4:13-14).

That's what has been in the heart of every martyr for Christ. What ever the cost, there was no turning back... even in the Roman Coliseum, as the Christians were fed to Nero's lions, their prayer was not for deliverance, but that they might be a witness for their Lord, even in the hour of death.

They knew - oh, they knew that In the midst of their suffering, as they were partakers of Christ's suffering, so when His glory is revealed, He had made them a promise! "You will rejoice with exceedingly great joy." Hallelujah! That is why the trail of the followers of Christ is one of faithfulness, even unto death, prison or ridicule, that's why people go on even today to the dark and lonely places on earth to bare the good news of Jesus. They are there because they care. They may not have much now, but one day, when God reveals His glory, He is going to say 'you've got My glory, too'. That's why you can be faithful and go on whatever the cost, trust Him, if you be reproached for the name of Christ - Happy are you.

I know what that means, as I have walked the roadsides of the world's six continents with a twelve foot cross. I have had countless people laugh, mock and jeer at me. I have been beaten, stoned, shot at, put in prison, spit on, taken out before a firing squad, cursed, rejected and many other humiliating things. But, I just praise the Lord! I'm full of His riches in glory, "Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so." I have more joy than any critic I've had.

If grown people are not ashamed to play with balls; footballs, volleyballs, baseballs, handballs, pool balls, sockerballs, ping pong balls, golf balls, basketballs, etc., I'm not ashamed of Jesus. But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and unto the world. (Galatians 6:14).

Praise the Lord! He is worthy of your best or nothing at all! He's worth going with all the way or not at all. Let nothing quench the fire of the Lord burning in you. if any man suffer as a Christian, let him glorify God. . . (1 Peter 4:16), because we, like Peter, the writer of this book, are a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: (I Peter 5:1). If you partake of something, it means you get to receive it, take it in, be a part of. That is His promise - you can be a partaker of the glory!! And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. (I Peter 5:4). Isn't that beautiful! God will crown us with His glory! What we have in the Lord is rich, glorious and everlasting!

I have met some people that already seem to have that crown of glory on them. They have the 'light of the knowledge of the glory of God' in their heart; and the 'countenance of the Lord' upon them. You have met them and you see the glory of God in them. You sense that God is with them. I mean they are not in the world for anything else. They are Godly, Godly minded, they talk about the Lord, they think about the Lord, they love the Lord; they are friends of God and they love people, not things. They are not carnal, they are spiritually minded. The Bible says that they are going to receive a crown of Glory.

Whatever that crown of Glory is, it is gonna be glorious! How can one trade a crown of Glory for a few American dollars, a little real estate, a sparkling ring, or a bit of fleshly sin . . . oh no! God is calling you. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you, to him be glory... (I Peter 5:10-l1).

CHAPTER 6

We have been thinking together about the glory of God and how He wants to share His riches in glory with us. We were gloriously made in the image of God, but one sad, horrible, tragic cry must be shared. It is the cry of God! Oh you sons of men, how long will you turn my glory into shame. (Psalm 4:2). We are the glory of God but we have turned His glory into shame. What is man, that thou art mindful of him? Thou hast crowned him with glory and honor. (Psalm 8:4-5) God made man in His image and crowned him with glory... but we have turned that glory into shame !! Everyone of my children I love, I glory in them, they look like me! but God says; they are mine, made in my image. I glory in them, they look like . . . the devil. Oh no, we have turned the glory into shame. God created us with lips that should be full of praise; but what do we do? Curse Him. We have hands that could till the earth, keep the garden, but we take our hands and make weapons to kill. Our eyes, instead of seeing His glory, become instruments of greed, or to rob a bank. Our bodies the expression of love, now shamed in lustful sex. We have taken our will that could respond and communicate with God and man and turned it into selfishness, loneliness, depression, hate and all manner of evil has corrupted us. We have taken everything. We have taken His glory out and made it into shame.

How long will you turn God's glory into shame? How much He wants to forgive you, heal your heart and mind and bring you into glory.

Behold, the Lords hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, neither is his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: Because he wants to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; (Isaiah 59:1, 61:3). God has so much good He wants to share with you. Aren't you ready to come to Him now? I know you are. Hear Jesus praying for you, and the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: (John 17:22). Oh the glory that the Father gave Jesus, yet Jesus wants that same glory In you! God wants to share everything He's got with you! Everything good that God has, He has for you!! Believe it! Some of you might say, but Arthur, I'm bad, I'm a murderer, a prostitute, even a little child but a sinner, my mind is selfish, my thoughts are not so lovely, my desires are perverted. But God loves you! He wants to share His life, glory, salvation and heaven with you. Jesus came into the world, born of the Virgin Mary, lived without sin and died on the cross for your sins. He rose on the third day, was seen by many and ascended into heaven. He is coming back, soon. 'The Glory of the coming of the Lord is at hand', His Holy Spirit is here now, calling you. I know you want the fullness of the Lord in you. You want to be received into His glory now, and in the time to come! It is simple yet glorious. Just whisper this prayer to God with all your soul open to Him:

Oh God, I want to know You,
reveal yourself to me. As
best as I know how, I turn from my
old way and to You.
Jesus come into my heart.

I repent, cleanse me and fill me
with the Holy Spirit. Fill me with glory.
Oh thank you Lord for saving me and
making my home heaven!
Praise the Lord. In Jesus Name.

Thank Him now, His glory has shined into your heart through Jesus Christ our Lord! Believer, you can pray this prayer:

Now, oh Lord, bath your children in the
glory, empower us and send us forth,
to bring in the harvest of the lost
into thy kingdom.

The most holy, awesome, and wonderful thought is that one day His glory will fill the whole earth! As His glory pours down upon the earth, in his glorious presence, all shall be perfected. Just imagine, all the glory that the prophets of the bible saw, that the angels sang about and declared shall come, for when the Son of man shall come in His glory and all the Holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon his throne of Glory! (Matthew 25:31).

For thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen!

Remember, "The Glory of the coming of the Lord is at hand!"

Go home to thy friends and tell what great things the Lord hath done for thee! (Mark 5:19).

The Glory

The
Glory, the glory,
rising--
falling--
entering -- filling -- overflowing --
Glowing --
overcoming, flowing
and
leaving everything different.
Clean, pure, loving ----
God----
beyond all the wonder of infinite
space.
Aware of every hair --
every grain of sand - -
creating every rain drop.
Living in the company of angels,
cherubims and seraphims.
Roiling clouds of Glory -
a stream of fire.
the shouts of ten thousand times
ten thousands of thousands --
all praising Him.
Wonder of wonders --
He knows me --
He loves me
I am His,
as in His presence His glory
consumes me --
beyond speech --
beyond explanation --
but
not beyond experiencing!
in His infinite glory
the value of earthly treasure
is as void
Yet His glory is not just something
to experience
it is a life to live in.
But He is God.
Ever ready to manifest
in spectacular wonder when He chooses.
Sometimes the manifestation of His
glory is slow, calm like the
evening breeze,
a ripple on a calm sea -
at other times
like fire and smoke upon the
mountain
shaking the earth --
the glory is there in the
loving heart of the one holding
the hand of the feeble dying.
The glory is there in turning
the other cheek and forgiving the
worst injustice.
The glory is there when we
meet the naked and give
them our own clothes and we
tremble in the cold instead of them.
the Glory--
the Glory,
as Jesus is preached
to a sin ravaged world --
the
glory -- on earth --
making heaven rejoice
when a sinner prays
the glory
the glory.
Unleashing deep within the
fountains of love --
that make us strong - yet tender.
God,
filling us with Himself,
indwelling human flesh - and
calling us His own!!!
Sending us His son --
dripping in Calvery blood --
resurrected and ascended.
Sending the Holy Spirit --
for me!!
in me!!
I want to drown in Him,
dead to the world,
a live in the Spirit.
Washed in the blood of Jesus.
And living in the eternal but
yet present glory of God.
And where do we find this
glory ------
in the face of Jesus.
Oh my Lord and my God
wash me, cleanse me, fill me,
heal me, send me.
And I know Thy promise is true
as surely as I live, all the
earth shall be filled with the
glory of the Lord.

Even though the Bible shares about us experiencing the glory of God . . . there is yet . .. so much more! Beyond any explanation.

There is the sovereign revelation of His Glory! - - - That leaves one speechless . . stunned . and
forever in awe. The following excerpts from the Bible I will let speak for themselves without explanation or interpretation.

May even now, the glory of God cover, fill, cleanse, and change.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (Genesis 1:1).

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Genesis 2:7)

And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day; and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? (Genesis 3:8-9)

And Enoch walked with God. . . and all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty five years; And Enoch walked with God; and he was not; for God took him. (Genesis 5:22-24)

But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Noah was a just man and upright in his generations, and Noah walked with God. (Genesis 6:8,9)

And Noah builded an altar unto the Lord; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And the Lord smelled a sweet savour; and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. (Genesis 8:20-21)

And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him... and it came to pass, that when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces. In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram. (Genesis 15:12, 17, 18)

And the men turned their faces.. and went toward Sodom; but Abraham stood yet before the Lord. And Abraham drew near... (Genesis 18:22-23)

Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh, and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh: And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. And he said, What is thy name? And he replied, Jacob - - and he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. And Jacob asked him and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there. And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved. (Genesis 32:24-30)

And he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb. And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire, out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire and the bush was not consumed. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God. . . And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM. (Exodus 3:1- 6,14)

And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses. And the Lord spoke unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people. And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee . . . Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and five. And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shall stand upon a rock: and it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: And I will take away mine hand, and thou shall see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen. (Exodus 33:9, 11, 13- 23)

Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. For the cloud of the Lord was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys. (Exodus 40:34, 35, 38)

And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you. (Joshua 3:5)

And the Lord came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth. And the Lord said unto Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle... And Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground. (I Samuel 3:10-11, 19)

Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brethren; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah. But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul and an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him. (I Samuel 16:13-14)

David said, As the Lord liveth, the Lord shall smite him (Saul), or his day shall come to die; or he shall descend into battle, and perish. The Lord forbid that I should stretch forth mine hand against the Lord's anointed... Then said Saul, I have sinned... behold, I have played the fool and have erred exceedingly. (I Samuel 26:10, 11, 21)

But will God dwell with men on the earth? Behold, heaven, and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have built! (II Chronicles 6:18)

Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the house. And the priests could not enter into the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord's house. And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the Lord upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the Lord. (II Chronicles 7:1-3)

Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. (I Kings 19:11-12)

Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from you. Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. And he said, You have asked a hard thing, nevertheless if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so unto you; but if not, it shall not be so. And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. And Elisha saw it, and cried, my Father, my Father! the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof, and he saw him no more. (II Kings 2:9-12)

And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. His servants said unto him, My Master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not, For they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he might see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw! and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. (II Kings 6:15-17)

Neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee. . . The Lord said, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's . . . For the Lord will be with you - - - and Jehoshaphat bowed his head, with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the Lord, worshipping the Lord. And he (Jehoshaphat) appointed singers unto the Lord, that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever. (II Chronicles 20:12, 15, 17,18, 21)

And Job... fell upon the ground, and worshipped. And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. (Job 1:20- 22)

Oh you sons of men, how long will you turn my glory into shame?... (Psalm 4:2)

Search me, Oh God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts; And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (Psalm 139:23-24)

To give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified. (Isaiah 61:3)

For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth: so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations. (Isaiah 61:11)

They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lay down with the kid; and the calf, and the young lion, and the fatling together.. . and the cow and the bear shall feed. (Isaiah 2:4 and Isaiah 11:6,7)

For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. (Habakkuk 2:14)

I saw as if it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about. As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face... (Ezekiel 1:27, 28)

And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east, and his voice was like with his glory . . . and I fell upon my face . . . and, behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house. (Ezekiel 43:2-3, 5)

I beheld till the thrones were cast down and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: judgment was set, and the books opened . . I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: . . . I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me. (Daniel 7:9-10, 13-15)

Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me . . . Then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground And a hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands: And he said unto me, Oh Daniel a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling. (Daniel 10:8-11)

NEW TESTAMENT

The angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth. To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her and said, Hail, thou art highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women... Fear not, Mary; for thou hast found favor with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shall call his name Jesus - - - He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Highest . . .Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered - - - The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the Power of the Highest shall overshadow thee; therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. (Luke 1:26-28, 30-32, 34-35)

The angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were afraid. The angel said unto them: Fear not behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day, in the city of David, a Savior, Which is Christ the Lord. This shall be a sign unto you: you shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. Suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men. (Luke 2:9-14)

. . . the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them. (Luke 2:20)

When he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem, after the custom of the feast. . . after three days they found him in the temple, Sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking questions . . . How is it that you sought me? Know you not that I must be about my Father's business?... (Luke 2:42, 46, 49)

Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan, unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbade him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and cometh thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now; for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he suffered him. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him. And, lo, a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (Matthew 3:13- 17)

Jesus said, Fill the water pots. . . Draw now and bear unto the governor of the feast... When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine... he said, You have kept the good wine until now. This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory... (John 2:7, 8, 9, 10, 11)

And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judea, and from beyond Jordan. (Matthew 4:24-25)

The blind man said unto him, Lord that I might receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way. (Mark 10:51, 52)

What is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk? But that you may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house. And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God. And they were all amazed, and they glorified God. (Luke 5:23-26)

This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby. . . When Jesus came, he found that he (Lazarus) had lain in the grave four days already... said I not unto thee, that if you wouldest believe, you should see the glory of God?.. Lazarus come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them Loose him, and let him go. (John 11:4,17,40,43,44)

Now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice, for all the mighty works that they had seen; Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord; peace in heaven, and glory in the highest . . . (Jesus said) I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out. (Luke 19:37, 38, 40)

They all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner. And Zacchaeus stood and said unto the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods, I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. (Luke 19:7-10)

Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind . . . Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. (Luke 14:21, 23)

See this woman? I entered into your house, you gave me no water for my feet: but she has washed my feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. You gave me no kiss: but this woman, since the time I came in, hath not ceased to kiss my feet. My head with oil you did not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment. Wherefore I say unto you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much. (Luke 7:44-47)

I was hungry and you gave me no meat: and was thirsty, and you gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and you took me not in: Naked, and you clothed me not: Sick, and in prison, and you visited me not. Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not unto me - - - and these shall go away into everlasting punishment but the righteous into life everlasting. (Matthew 25: 42-46)

For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and you say, he hath a devil. The Son of man is come eating and drinking: and you say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! But Wisdom is justified of all her children. (Luke 7:33, 34, 35)

Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up unto a high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. Behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias, talking with him. Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: If you will let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. While he spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and, behold, a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear you him. And when the disciples heard it they fell on their face, and were very afraid. And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, except Jesus only. (Matthew 17:1-6, 8)

Jesus said, I say unto you. Before Abraham was, I am. (John 8:58)

And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the Passover. As they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat: this is my body which is given for you. (Matthew 26:19, 26) This do in remembrance of me. (Luke 22:19)

And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying. Drink ye all of it, for this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say unto you I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom. (Matthew 26:27-29)

The supper being ended - - - He riseth from supper, laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself After that he poureth water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel where with he was girded. (John 13:2, 4, 5)

So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said -- If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; You also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily I say unto you, the servant is not greater than his lord, neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If you know these things, happy are you if you do them. (John 13:12, 14-17)

Jesus lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: as you have given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as you have given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, Father, glorify thou me with thine own self, with the glory which I had with thee before the world was . . . And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: (John 17:1-5, 22)

And when they had sung a psalm, they went out into the mount of Olives. (Matthew 26:30)

For Jesus oftentimes resorted there with his disciples. (Luke 18:2)

Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and said unto his disciples, Sit here, while I go and pray yonder. He took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. Then he said unto them, My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even unto death: wait here and watch with me. Then he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying... (Matthew 26:36-39)

Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless, not my will, but thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony, he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. (Luke 22:42, 43, 44)

Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priest and Pharisees, came with lanterns and torches and weapons... Jesus said, Whom seek ye? They said, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus said, I am he. And as soon as he said, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it? (John 18:3,4,5,6,11)

Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? All this was done, that the scripture of the prophets might be fulfilled. (Matthew 26:53, 56)

Then Pilate took Jesus, and scourged him and the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe . . . and Pilate saith unto them... Behold the man! (John 19:1-2, 5)

Jesus said, My kingdom is not of this world; if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. (John 18:36)

You could have no power at all against me, except it were given you from above. (John 19:11)

And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus. (Luke 23:26)

When they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull, ...
(Matthew 27:33)

They crucified him, and two others with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst. And Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was, Jesus of Nazareth the King of the Jews. (John 19:18,19)

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, E'li, E'li, la'ma sa-bach' tha-ni? That is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? (Matthew 27:46)

And the sun was darkened, and the vail of the temple was rent in the midst. . . Jesus cried with a loud voice, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit (Luke 23:45, 46) It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. (John 19:30)

Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid. . there laid they Jesus ... (John 19:41, 42) and rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre and departed. (Matthew 27:60)

In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightening, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keeper did shake, and became as dead men. (Matthew 28:1-4)

And they entered in (the two Marys) and found not the body of the Lord Jesus . . . as they were much perplexed . . . behold, two men stood by in shining garments: and as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! (Luke 24:3-6)

Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus, and stood in the midst, and said unto them. Peace be unto you. And when he had so said, he showed them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you; as My Father hath sent me, even so send I you. (John 20:19, 21)

To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion, by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the Kingdom of God. (Acts 1:3)

And Jesus spoke unto them saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. (Matthew 28:18-20)

Then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man, in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. (Matthew 24:30)

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gotten all nations; and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats. (Matthew 25:31-32)

You which have followed me, in the regeneration, when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive a hundred fold, and shall inherit everlasting fife. But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first. (Matthew 19:28-30)

And then shall they see the Son of Man coming in the clouds, with great power and glory. . . For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch you therefore; for you know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cock crowing, or in the morning. And what I say unto you, I say unto all. Watch. (Mark 13:26, 34-37)

Blessed are those servants, whom the Lord when he cometh, shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. (Luke 12:37)

. . .but wait for the promise of the Father. . . for John truly baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost, not many days hence. You shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and you shall be witness unto me, both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven, as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel: which also said, you men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven. (Acts 1:4, 5, 8-11)

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. Suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues, like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance . . . we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God. But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, . . . This is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; and it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; and on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out, in those days, of my Spirit, and they shall prophesy. (Acts 2:1-4,11,14,16-18)

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved. Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ. Now when they heard him, they were pricked in their heart... what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand. (Acts 2:21, 36, 37, 38, 41)

By what power, or by what name have you done this? Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said. . . by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, who God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:7, 8, 10, 12)

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus... They called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered whether it be right to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together: and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and spoke the word of God with boldness. (Acts 4:13, 18, 19, 20,31)

Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. And when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ. (Acts 5:29, 40, 41, 42)

They that were scattered abroad, went everywhere preaching the word. (Acts 8:4)

But God forbid that I should glory, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me. And I unto the world. (Hebrew 6:11)

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons into glory. (Hebrews 2:9-10)

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the fight of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. (II Corinthians 4:6, 7)

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. (II Corinthians 3:17, 18)

Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: (Colossians 1:26,27)

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you; But rejoice, inasmuch as you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy. If you be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are you; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you. . . if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed,. but let him glorify God. (I Peter 4:12-14, 16)

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. (Jude 24-25)

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and praise: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. (Revelation 4:11)

And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation. (Revelation 5:9)

After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. And one of the elders answered, saying unto me. What are these which are arrayed in white robes? And whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore, are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple.. And he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. (Revelation 7:9-17)

And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of ....... And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it and the Lamb is the light thereof. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie; but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. (Revelation 21:10, 11, 22-27)

And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. I Jesus have sent mine angel to tesfify unto you these things in the churches. Surely I come quickly, Amen . . . (Revelation 22:4, 16, 20)

There is no end to God's glory, there is no limited supply, no life where the glory cannot be, no empty space that His glory will not fill. You can live in the glory of the Lord. From where you are now to where you can be . . . is possible; you can be changed from glory unto glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. Wherever you are --- the Glory will be. (II Corinthians 3:18)

Remember there is one absolute, this is the ever present glory of the Lord! We see in the mirror not the depression of where one's life is right now --- but we see the glory of God, and are changed into the same image. Therefore, the only image we have the right to reflect ---is His glory.

"The glory of the coming of the Lord is at hand."
